Welcome to Dr Irene Forsyth
Dr Irene Forsyth comes with a wealth of experience and knowledge. She has come to us from Ropata Health in Lower Hutt.
Dr Forsyth will work all day Monday and Tuesdays.
Christmas and New Year Hours
Mahara Health will continue to offer normal operating hours except for the Statutory Holidays (Closed) and the week between Christmas and New Year where we will be closing at 4.30pm each night. If you require urgent medical attention during these times, please phone the practice and you will be directed to a triage nurse 04 908 1000
The Practice was awarded CORNERSTONE General Practice Accreditation last December. This is the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners standard for general practice services as defined in “Aiming for Excellence”.
We are very pleased to achieve this standard.
Acute/Same Day Appointments
Appointments are filing up fast at Mahara Health, if you require and urgent appointment on the day, ring us at 8.00am and you will be put on triage list for the Nurse or Doctor to phone you back, some issues may be sorted over the phone.
Stripe Payment
If you are registered for My Indici Patient Portal you can now pay your account through the accounts screen and pay with Stripe.
Corona Virus Triage
All patients currently need to be triaged if you have symptoms that include:
· Sore Throat
· Cough
· Fever
· Sneezing
· Runny Nose
· Respiratory Condition
· Loss of sense of smell
Please advise the reception when booking an appointment.
If you are given an appointment the nurse or doctor will get you to ring us from your car and we will either get you to wear a mask or come in another entrance.
Meet the team
Prue & Katie are our dedicated nurse team. Prue works Monday to Friday (except Thursday’s), and Katie works Mondays and Thursdays. If you need to speak with a nurse ring Mahara Health and the administration team will schedule the nurse to phone you back. Our Nurses are very busy and not always able to phone you back straight away so please be patient.
