Farewell

Dr Stewart Reid will be leaving us soon for his well earned retirement, however he hasn’t completely said good bye and will still remain on as a locum . Mahara Health has been very thankful for all the support he has given us since opening in 2017.

Our GP’s days

From our recent survey we noted that patients like continuity of care with the same Doctor.

Dr Rex Faulknor

Wednesday all day , Thursday and Friday mornings.

Dr Beven Telfer

Monday mornings and Tuesday afternoons.

Dr Kirsty Lennon

all day Monday and Friday

Dr Jubert Roisch

All day Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons as patients increase he will work Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday all day.

If you have an urgent matter you will be seen by the doctor available on the day.

New Patients

Are you NEW to our practice, did you know that we offer a free new patient health check with the Practice Nurse

Please book with the receptionist and let them know its for a free new patient nurse check. The nurse will update all your information such as height, weight and blood pressure.

Urgent Prescriptions

If you are wanting a prescription on the same day you need to let us know when ordering the prescription, please make sure you mention this when ordering on the prescription line or My Indici, there is an extra charge for same day prescriptions.

Other prescriptions take 2 working days.

Feedback and Comments

We appreciate all comments good and bad, we have a board in the waiting room that allows comments to be noted or use the pamphlet where you can document your concerns, place in the suggestion box and we will follow up as soon as possible.

Waiting Times

Our standard appointments are 15 minutes intervals, sometimes despite our best intentions, we may run late. This could be an unexpectedly long consultation or because we have fitted in an acutely sick patient who needed urgent attention.

Reserved Parking

A reminder to please only park in the disabled car park if you are or have a disabled person with you and your car has a mobility sticker. These are located at the front of the medical practice.

Payments

Payment is required on the day of your consultation. If you wish to set up an automatic payment please ask at reception for a form with our bank account details.

Should you have difficulty paying your account in full then please discuss alternative arrangements with our Practice Manager

We're a busy little place

Mahara Health is becoming a very busy little practice and there are a number of things you can do to help us provide a good service. These include:

  1. Always let the receptionist know when you have arrived for your appointment.

  2. Please arrive on time – if you are running late please call the practice 04 5954207

  3. Book an appointment well in advance

  4. Book a double appointment if you have multiple issues to discuss

  5. Only book one patient per appointment, please do not expect our doctors to be able to see 2 or more patients, or siblings, in the one 15 minutes appointment slot.

  6. If you are unable to attend your appointment, please notify us as soon as possible,
